Shining Quiz Night TONIGHT, this Wednesday!

As you know, we are opening our NEW Restaurant in December, so this year you are able to book lunch and dinner at the Blueberry pub. And you definitely will have your mouth watering as you read the menu below! The flavours are exclusive. You won’t find this selection anywhere else in the Oxfordshire area!
So don’t wait too long and book your tables before it's too late. Bookings filling fast!

100 Days Journey to La Parilla Fantastico!
With the restaurant and kitchen being fully refurbished and only 2 days left to opening, we are sharing highlights of 100 days journey to La Parilla Fantastico!
Thank You note!
Over the 100 days, an enormous amount of work has gone into building this fantastic restaurant. I sincerely want to thank all the people who put their hands on it to make this dream a reality! Painters: Roger and Jack. Electricians: Ryan, Callum, and Andy. Caterfix engineer: Tom. All round brilliant tradesman, (with every piece of equipment you could think of): Marcin. Our chef and team: Daniele, Oscar, Aidan, Caron, Jo, and Jade, plus all of our bar staff, for helping and covering my shifts while I do the dogsbody jobs. 😆💪
The journey began long before 100 days. Our Landlords, Kevin and Caron, love the Canary Islands and other Spanish places. Each visit to these places added up to inspiration to create this NEW Restaurant. Every taste of Gambas al ajilo (Garlic prawns), or other Spanish dishes, became a desire to bring those flavours back home to the UK for you!
Last year in the summer, do you remember July as Spanish Month at the Blueberry pub? The taste of Sangria, Flamenco pizza, and other Spanish flavours? That was a step to try introduce them to you. Then we came up with the idea of Weekday Lunches, and they became not only a hit, but also an opportunity to see how you like a variety of cuisines.
Then this autumn has opened doors to make the idea of Spanish Cuisine at the Blueberry pub a reality.
Kevin took his mum, Brenda, to taste food at a local Spanish restaurant. And our verdict was - fantastico! Yes, we need something like that in Blewbury!
But wait, the adjustments were needed, because as we saw that people love our International variety of meals in the weekday lunch menu, and also as we serve the best Italian pizzas in the area, why not fuse cuisines? So there you have it in 2 days opening of Spanish inspired Mediterrannean fuised cuisine!
Name Fantastico uncovered!
Okay, Spanish Speakers, you got us! There is no correct way to say La Parilla Fantastico because “La Parilla” is a female word, so the correct way is La Parilla Fantastica! But it is business, and in business, many names do not match grammar rules. So to speak, our restaurant will not only be serving Spanish dishes, but it also reflects in our word Fantastico. We are Mediterranean fusion cuisine, so the Italian chef and Italian word Fantastoco reflect that very well!
Designs and Decorations
Change is good and necessary, for 3 years we had an amazing Chor Muabg Thai Restaurant with vibrant pink and yellow colour combinations, which reflected on our walls too. It suited the theme. But now, as we are changing to the Spanish inspired Mediterrannean cuisine fusion, it's time to repaint the walls and make it more classy and suitable theme with the main color combo being black with orange!
Staff
All this time, we were selecting the best candidates with customer oriented and can-do attitude for our NEW Restaurant Journey! We have almost a full house. And now we have our determined Italian Chef Danielle and other staff members who are ready to go the extra mile to provide the best possible customer experience.
Organisation and Bookings
We are receiving many bookings through our website, and it is ok. Just be aware that to get a response to your booking, it takes 2-3 days this way. So, currently best to call directly via our phone 01235-850296
But that's not all! We would like to announce that we are developing a booking system, “Res Diary”, as this will make bookings smooth and effortless! Thank you for your patience!
Patience and kindness will do miracles
Every new venture also takes time and patience to develop a system. We would like to ask you for kindness and patience with our NEW staff and us who have been working for a longer time. We are testing and developing organisational methods and systems. Together, we can create a smooth and enjoyable restaurant experience!
If you want to visit Blewbury village and try out the food from our NEW restaurant La Parilla Fantastico, but don’t know where to stay? Well, grab one of our Luxury En-Suite rooms. They are situated just a few steps away from The Bluebery Pub. Ideal if you want a comfortable and cosy place to stay. If you want to have a bath after a long day, you can choose En-Suite Room 1 (Emerald), or maybe you want to feel like in your own apartment, then choose En-Suite Room 2 (Diamond), the most economic option, but with the same standard is En-Suite Room 3 (Ruby). Worth mentioning that all of the beds of these rooms has Premier Inn mattresses for the best and most rejuvenating night's sleep.
